Hello everyone, and a good Sunday to you all,

My question might come from leftfield, but I thought to share it here as it could be a funny one to reflect upon between members of the forum.

I'd like my Canon Pro-100s to print on paper I painted (with acrylic paint). So: paper - paint it (let's say white) - let it dry - print photo on the painted paper.
It's for an art workshop I'm teaching with middle schoolers, it's about experimentation, so that explains some things.

Anyone ever tried this? Advice to give me? :)
Looking forward to hear your thoughts.

Some printers allow you to print multiple times on a sheet but others do not. My older now decommissioned 9600 would allow but my ipf8300 does not, or at least I have never been able to. I think a sensor sees that the paper is not fresh and won't load. Try experimenting with your Canon. Try to load a printed sheet.

The inks won't look right on paper not designed for inkjet, but it will work in this application. A number of years back I first printed on uncoated watercolour paper and then I painted on top.

Thanks for your feedback!
I already experimented with inserting photo paper on which I had printed, written in Posca paint marker and Sharpie, the Pro100s printed over all that without a problem. Will also develop that further to discover how I can use that.
