I know this will probably jinx my good fortune by mentioning this but I thought you all might find this amusing, especially those of us that constantly are fixing or replacing printers. I use an Epson WF-7720 for speciality printing like large format prints of my watercolors but on an everyday basis I still have an HP Deskjet 960c hooked up to my everyday Pc. There's not too many days when I'm not printing something on it whether it be instructions or manuals, just about anything and in color too. I have never ever cleaned it or touched it except to replace the 45 and 78 cartridges. I have had it in service since it was first introduced back in March of 2001 almost 19 years ago. Just in the past few years my wife has owned and needed to replace at least 3 or 4 newer model Hp Printers and I have had to replace my WF 7620 after only about 5 print jobs. Granted that was my fault for not using it regularly. So when all us old guys say "they sure don't make them like they used to" it's the truth! Lol

Each time you change your carts, you are getting a new print head, that’s why it still prints like new, so yes the older printer did last longer, I have an aging iP4500 and it’s original head with 54,000 prints on it… It refused to give up…:smack

Yes of course, new print head each time, I guess I should have thought about that. But it's still pretty cool that even all the moving parts etc. would still be going on just about any appliance now-a-days.
