Upgraded to ssd, now printer won't print...

Pixma 710. Ran flawlessly forever, upgraded to SAMSUNG 960 EVO M.2 500GB NVMe,
and now despite everything looking good, prints nothing at all.

Goes through the motions, but pages come out blank...

Thoughts...??

I should perhaps note that even using copy function direct from printer produces same results.

If the printer cannot function as a stand alone copier with the computer turned off then the printer has failed and the error is not related to the new SSD.

Or cannot print a nozzle check IF the front panel controls on the printer allows for such a thing.

You didn't mention HOW you upgraded to the new Samsung drive. Did you use Samsung's Data Migration Tool? Clean install everything fresh on the new SSD? Copy things from the old drive to the new drive?

It may be you need to uninstall all Canon printer drivers and software, reboot and then install them again. It is important you install a Canon printer in the exact sequence they advise. This usually means beginning installation of the software first and then you hook up the printer and turn it on to finish the installation. See your manual for exact sequence.

I think all Canon all-in-ones can do a nozzle check test print from the panel. That is a better test than making a copy as it is independent of possible scanner errors.

I did a completely clean install. I will try the nozzle thing from the panel I did do a nozzle from the computer, and it seemed to go thru the motions, but a freakin' blank page is all that came out.

I'll gi9ve the nozzle/panel thing a go in the morning....

If the printer worked before the new SSD but never once installed on the SSD then follow my instructions above for a clean reinstall of the printer. Make sure you are using the proper drivers. Also, make sure you are using known working or new cartridges and that the cartridges and the print head are installed properly.

I did do a nozzle from the computer, and it seemed to go thru the motions, but a freakin' blank page is all that came out.
That is not good. :(
