I have advised my friend in this procedure. Go with the pre set settings and when say 20% is reported used then fill each colour including black recording how many mills. are used to fill each. from the accumulated log a reasonably accurate value of ml per MB can be calculated.
I will give it...
Hi, How's it going
His is an old 4 colour two cartridge affair, haven't the model. It has leds lit to say they are empty and I believe will now stay on. No matter, I helped with his first fill and he is over the moon about it. Happy friend.
I told him about it not measuring copies and...
I am looking to redesign the Inkmon programs. I cannot access the printer driver but I do realise the re calibration (fine Tuning) is a bit tricky to some so I will look into that.
As far as using the printer as a copier. The only way I can think to include these outputs into the logging is to...
I just posted about replacement versions of Trigger4&5 available in the files section of the inkmon forum.

Apparrently it was false positives caused by an old version of the UPX compiler. The new files are ok at least untill the antivirus programs...
I have come back to this forum as the UPX compiler used to compile Trigger$&% has come up with false positives in AVG Avanti and others.
New files have been re compiled and are available in the files section of the inkmon forum.

Thanks for input, I will consider getting the manual and serch for a software fix. I said in another post that what if our cars gave up after a period and we had to take them to get reset. I know printers are sold as a means of getting a profit on ink but in the long run it will backfire. The...
Yes it has. I have got a feeling it has something to do with the purging unit but who knows, I use printers not fix them.
It will probably cost about $aud150 and a new unit is $249 + warrenty + new carts so I am pondering.
I am saving to get it repaired as its a good multy function unit and I...
I will add my comment I am a RX530 owner and for a year it worked well and the photo's were great. I am no expert. It does negatives. It has just stopped with a couple of error messages and I will have to fork out $150 to get it repaired.
Good printer but. Epson has fixed it anyway that it will...
I could be wrong but given that a printer new has a 12 month warrenty then conceivably you would expect to be able to print 12 x 1000 prints without failure. or which ever comes first. Unless you are a profesional printer then 12,000 prints will take several years of normal use. Thats how I...
Hmmm! the RX530 does a terrific job scaning all types of negatives and reverses them as well as allowing modificationafter a preview, thats why I got it in the first place. I will have to bite the bullet and get it repaired.
It can even scan negatives from mini cameras and 35 mm is simple does...
My Epson has failed and the cost to repair is not worth it so I am after a printer but it must be refillerble and be able to scan negatives. Any ideas?
Actually I suspect it could be the head position reader, there is a red led that shines on a plasti strip, I had a look at the strip and it could have a faint splash of ink that has stained it. I am presently looking for a parts supplier. I have no problem of getting down and dirty with it. I...
The printer has developed another strange fault. When printing if I choose photo paper I get a paper jam notice yet if I chose plain paper it works. The thing is if I choose plain paper and put photo paper in it works also. now what is strang is that if I put plain paper in and choose photo...
My printer has developed the problem of not returning to the start position so that when I turn it on I get an error message, I can fix it by turning it off and sliding the head to the right. It fixes itself on start up.
The printer is an Epson RX530, Any idea's?
I was in the middle of refilling my ink tanks when my resetter blinked and died. I have had it a year. It was one of those Chinese versions. It appeared molded together, so with nothing to lose i removed the label to find two screws holding it together, the fit was so good I could not see the...
There is probably a little lever switch that detects the presence of paper, It could be that due to a paper jam or forien body this switch is prevented from recognising the paper. Have a look at the bottom of the paper tray for bits of paper or any anomaly.
