Why type anything. If you have an image link, such as
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9a/Big_Mac_hamburger.jpg, then just click in the area we use to compose our posts to the forum, then click on the IMAGE icon (in between the SMILEY FACE emoticon icon and the MEDIA icon), then paste the copied image link, click INSERT and, viola, image inserted into the body of your post.

Alternately, you can just paste the image link into the body of your post, such as I've done above, but then you will not see the image until you click on the link.

I used to order the McDouble with special sauce, hold the ketchup, to make a poor man's Big Mac. Then they started charging extra. :(

{REMOVED IMAGE FOR NEATNESS}

What you have suggested there is as explained actually how the forum itself inserts images, clicking the image button as i explained uses the [ IMG] code to insert the picture, (if you edit/quote your post and click on the "Use BBcode editor" top right icon you will see how your image has been inserted) where people are having issues with the forum inserting images as it appeared the user concerned was it then they can enter it manually as i described.

Everything is done with BBcodes, i have actually been over a few options in using them before in this thread on the first page or so.

You can actually also make your images clickable to the site they are from as i described here...

which may also be of use for people having issues with the forum and large sized images.

Here is my submission

This is a photograph I made of the sea defence wall on the South bay of Scarborough on the East coast of Yorkshire.

It was taken with Nikon Full frame camera and 24-70mm lens. The RAW conversion was done in Lightroom and the post processing was done in Photoshop.
