Why is so hard to get ink and paper in this epidemic

It’s been some rough days trying to get ink and paper. I been wanting to get a hold of inkpress metallic canvas. I only had the chance to print one print on the paper and I felt in love 😍, now I want to print new images on the paper and it’s really hard to get.. wonder on how this epidemic change your printing situation

I want to buy a Canon Prograf 300 photo printer, but before I purchase it, I want to know if it is hard to get ink for it. Right now, no one has ink. All the photo sources and Amazon has it on back order. Before I spend $ 900 for a printer, I want to be sure that ink will be readily available. Any thoughts?

Welcome to the forum, John.

The printer is relatively new so distribution of consumables may need time to filter down to usual retailers.
The pandemic probably doesn't help either in that supply lines and distribution may be effected. Also, home bound printer fans may be hoarding supplies for their newly acquired printers.

It may be helpful to say which country you are in.

I bought inks for the new 200 and 300 Canon printers (Both), and got the delivery within 5 days instead of the usual 2, I got them direct from the Canon website, they even apologised for the delay.. Free delivery for two or more carts..

Canon USA was on back order last night like the other usual sources I check.

I bought inks for the new 200 and 300 Canon printers

Now we know why no one can get inks. Uncle The Hat bought them all.

Thanks for all your help, stratman. I see they are for sale individually. I will wait till the package of all of them are available. It shouldn't be too long a wait. In the meantime, I will order the printer.
