Hi All,

I would like to ask What's so special in calibration sheets ?

Some printers like mp980/990 use calibration sheets to calibrate the printhead and the manufacturer (canon) only supply two (2)

Any member in here knows what's so unique in this sheets please ?

Thank you.

The papers are simply high resolution paper which lets the printer be able to automatically adjust itself since if the printed pattern it prints is blurry the sensor in the printer won't be able to complete its calibration routine as accurately. You can also substitute matte photo paper or any other thin lightweight non glossy photo paper but I prefer to calibrate mine manually since I know it'll end up more accurate.
