What were the main differences between the ip4500,mp610 and the mp 810

I would like to know what were the differences between theIp4500,MP610 and the MP 810. From reading,they both seem to use the same print head and print engine. Was it just the additional features each had to offer?


I already have the MP610 and if I found a used model of the 3 which would you buy?

Also why are this printers or even most of last years Canon printers so highly sought after? Is it because of the larger ink cartridge and the ability to refill them with the resetting of the chip?

If you do not need the extra functions, buy the iP4500 or iP5300. If you need multifunction printer, get the MX850 because of the duplex copying, scanning and printing over network connection.

Yes. you are correct. There is no chip resetter for the newer Canon printers.

Are they all capable of printing directly to CD's? That would be the only need I have and love on my mp610

ip4500, Canadian version, comes with CD holder. MX850 can be converted to printing CD if you buy a holder. Other models, i don't know.
