Close @turbguy. Similar era. It was Gilbert Shelton. The cat is Fat Freddie's cat and was owned by Fat Freddie of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers comics. Fat Freddie's cat was my favorite in the series.

Saw many a Furry Freak Brothers poster in San Francisco during the 60's. My home is a ten minute drive from the Haight/Ashbury area and the area of Golden Gate Park where all the free rock concerts were held in those days. Also, a good friend of mine was Crumb's accountant and sports several of Crumb's posters on his office walls. Kinda takes me back to those times.......
