Today I clicked the "new posts on PK" button and saw 3 (THREE!) pages full of new posts. "WOW" I thought, "what a prolific forum!". But it wasn't quite so... I got posts that I already read, some as far as Jan 2013. What gives?

You can only see 2 pages because i already gone through the first page before I bothered to look at the dates of the last post. :)

I have had that happen to me before, it’s got something to do with hitting the F5 and or using the CTRL button to do a complete refresh, I also had to login in again !

It hasn’t happened since and I just put it down to Pebkac. :hide

I have two pages of old posts in the "Hewlett Packard HP InkJet Printers" forum and 5 posts in the "Retail Refillers Forum" wrongly marked as unread. F5 and Crtrl+F5 don't clear the error.

"New posts" show two whole pages plus 5 posts of old posts wrongly marked as unread.

Now that you mention it guys I’ve just had two pages of unread posts pop up out of nowhere!
I think Rob might be stirring his cauldron again..:ep

The "Mark Forums Read" button solved the problem for me. At least for now. Crtrl+F5 doesn't bring the error back.

@PeterBJ , that's how I fixed the problem too, but I thought of mentioning it here so Rob will see it... :) I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this "accident"! :gig
