Im looking for a good printer that has all the features of the Epson Artisan 700 All-in-One Printer but I cant find one that also has a CISS system compatible! I want to know that I can have the printer lid down (a problem with certain Canon models... IP6700D) I also heard a lot of issues with Canon's thermal print heads not lasting more than a few years, so I wanted to stay away from Canon. I have two epsons- the RX595 (on CISS) & the RX700 (ink replacement system) and they work great, but for my office I wanted a document feeder, and I cant find any CISS for the epsons, except for the Epsons workforce that only has 4 ink tanks. Since I do a lot of color fliers I wanted the better image quaility.
Does anyone have any suggestions of a printer and a CISS system for that printer?

Two more question: Do the ink tanks that have two reservoirs (a smaller one with constant ink level and a larger one that has an air filter) still create air in the tubes? And does the ink tanks with the chambers provide better results than the cartridges with a big tank where the sponge use to be when using the CISS systems?

Printer Model
Epson, Canon, HP... A "few"
Your big problem with the Epsons is that the newer models all have the chip types which require either the cartridge to be removed or a button pressed to reset them... Some printers also don't have an ARC (auto reset chip) at all.

Personally I would avoid Canons for CIS's because they can be a pain the proverbial backside if they don't work first time.. Refilling, Yes... CIS's... avoid!

I've gotta run so I can't provide more but that's an initial primer on the subject

The Artisan comes with a micro CISS properly fitted like that of their wide format printers and that is why they are attractive to the modifier and removal of chunks of plastic will be required to install a set of external tubes. I've quickly viewed the printer and its doable but your warranty will be gone as soon as you bring the Dremel to it.
