Hello, I'm researching ways to print onto cylinders by using UV ink. The things that printing need to be done are: 20mm in diameter (0.787402 inch), 1.5meter (59.0551 inch) in length.
Looking for ready to use ways (printers), and DIY ways (including buying printheads, controller etc.). If you know perhaps software etc. to prepare the images that would be big help also.
As UV printers that can print on 1.6meter are very expensive (should I say crazy), I'm moving towards feeding multiple cylinders in same way printer feeds paper, smaller printer could be used this way. Every cylinder would be held by custom made holder with stepper motors to rotate them etc.
