Hello,

I am brand new to this forum. I got referred by someone in Anandtech.

I own a Pixma MX700 and I was looking to save some money by buying either compatible cartridges or refilling the original ones.

Can someone share your experience with an MX700?
Which scenario do you recommend?

I am willing to refill as long as quality is the same or very close...I do regular printing and some pictures here and there.

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

It's not so much the printer as it is the type of cartridge, and your cartridge type happens to be one of the preferred.
I would recommend using a chip resetter and Hobbicolors ink.
Everything you need need to know is here under the Search button.
Post back if you have any questions.

Thanks for the info. I will start to explore the resetter...any recommended make or model or is that pretty much standard?

Thanks for the info - that seems to be the ongoing price for a resetter...perhaps even a little bit more.

Looks exactly like the one I bought from mapsy. Don't know the reliability of this vendor - he has had a few Negative FBs, but doesn't seem to be on the resetter. Just know mapsy gave me excellent service and fast delivery.
