Here's where I'm at:
The 2 problem printers, I have filled with non IS magenta ink, and ran them to empty last week with absolutely no clogs, using the previously problematic cartridges.
While I realize there are other steps to nail down a 100% answer, I'm happy with the fact that they are printing fine. Today I will try another known working cartridge with IS ink and see what happens.
