The new HP-02s -- is this the beginning of the end for refillers?

Hey guys,

I saw the new HP 02 cartridges up close yesterday (they're on the Photosmart 8250 printer). They're small and cheap, and microchipped to boot. Is this where the industry is going? Small carts that are uneconomical to refill?
Does it make sense to try to refill these, or has anyone?

Is the refilling business taking another step towards extinction?
