Tried your windscreen wash fluid tip with some success.

I had a particular stubborn printhead blockage so decided to give it a try.

In my case I used ready mixed screenwash fluid from my Supermarket (not Car-Plan)

However, I heated the fluid first in a pan (not boiling) as I'm a great believer in using heated fluid of any concoction to clear printhead blockages.

I soaked the printhead overnight in an airtight food box and the following morning
swilled out the fluid with warm water. I used a syringe with a small plastic tube to force water through the printhead nozzles.

I then left it to dry for 24 hours.

Lo and behold the printhead is now functioning as it should and print outs are fine.

I would only recommend this process as a last resort when everything else fails as I noticed that what looked like pieces of congealed ink were floating in the washer fluid so the cleaning process seems to be quite severe.

If you do use this cleaning method you should also ensure that the printhead is rinsed out thoroughly before use.
