Just finished a batch of photos this afternoon, and decided to check ink levels (Canon ip6700d). Yellow empty & photo magenta very low. The rest were ok. No problem. Replaced both with refilled standby cartridges, & did a quick nozzle check. WTF? Photo Cyan is printing YELLOW. (Cue X-Files music).
Had I replaced any wrong? Nope - all colours in their right places. The P-Cyan ink post (I presume that's what its called) was showing yellow ink. Ran a cleaning cycle and try again. Whew - everything ok now, except PCyan was a slightly different colour from the start-of-day nozzle check (which I presume is due to a little left over yellow ink in the channel). Another cleaning cycle should clear it.

So - anyone have any ideas what could have caused that? The print head is new, & is still on its first set of carts (excepting the two just mentioned).

TIA,
Ed.

Thanks, Grandad. So it looks like the cause could well have been overfilling the yellow cartridge.

Learn something every day!

Best,
Ed.
