Yes my MG6220 is still going strong, I've had a total of just two incidents that a tiny drop of windex remedied but other than that still going strong printing photos, enlarging star charts, copying photos, general odds and sods etc.
Largely due to the advice directly and indirectly from the members here, cheers everyone!
If anyone happens to have any links to service manuals or other resources for my printer that would be wonderful.

kindest regards Ant

Hi Ant

I searched for the service manual, but found none. If you find one, please post it in the service manual thread.

Instead I found an interesting detail regarding service mode operations on the MG6250 which is the European version of the MG6220.

The MG6200 series of printers only has one traditional push button for the on/off function. The rest of the push buttons are replaced by sensor fields and only those relevant for a function are lit. But it is claimed that sensors that are not lit are still active so the stop/resume sensor is used in the same way as the stop/resume button on other printers when entering service mode.

I found the info here: http://www.druckerchannel.de/forum.php?seite=beitrag&ID=242505&t=servicemode_bei_mg6250_ or in "Denglisch": http://translate.google.dk/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=da&ie=UTF-8&u=http://www.druckerchannel.de/forum.php?seite=beitrag&ID=242505&t=servicemode_bei_mg6250_

Thanks for the links Peter!
If I do discover anything in that regard (service manuals etc) I certainly will make that available here, I also keep my eye on any posts to do with the MG6220 on here but its just not one of the more popular models people use as it tends to be single function/photo printers on here.
