Does anyone have any methods to print a pseudo- water mart image using an inkjet printer?
Does anyone know if there’s any way to apply inkjet printer receptive coating on clear media?
What about diluting uv epoxy , and hitting it with hair dryer or heat cub + uv lamp ?
What about dilute pva glue
What about a clear oily substratu
Clear overcoat or varnish or sealer?
What about diluted paints,?
What about making glow in the dark ink,
Or anyone try anything els “not by the book”?
What about metallic inks? Like silver or gold colored inks ? Any diy solutions?

When it comes to B/W printing a look to the QuadTone Rip may show what is already possible with
existing solutions, piezography may show as well what is already possible. Please include the effects of paper into your considerations and tests, the paper very much defines the black level, and not just the ink alone. And it's the black level how much detail resolution you can get with a particular ink/paper combination.

Yes that’s exactly what I’ve been doing actually except trying to alter that formula of black ink combinations to be applied to the xp7100 I belive with the right modifications it should be able to be converted to a excellent all black and white pigmented ink photo printer, im using matte black pigmented ink, photo black pigmented ink, light black pigmented ink, light light black pigmented ink for the last one tho cuz it is a 5 color printer even tho there is 6 channels I’m thinking grey pigmented ink, but if love any suggestions to what is most important after the ones I listed to get true greyscale gradients and print black and white photos with neutral tone,

I appreciate ur knowledge on how the paper has an effect, I know that all to well because the thing is, I’m not printing g on paper, I’m printing onto clear polycarbonate sheets, with an inkjet receptive coating which is why I switched to pigment, dye is too translucent. Which is not what I want

Folks are absolutely experimenting with this but the trickiest thing here is making the surface hold the ink and not smudge. Sprays/films designed for inkjet receptor clearly have better adhesive properties than homemade glue or epoxy compounds. It is possible to create metallic and glow inks but standard home inkjet printers generally don't work well with larger particles without clogging.
