Some trick for HP 300 XL color refilling?

One of my big fat printer-collection was enhanced with an HP F 4580 printer, refilling the black is very easy. Make a hole and use the vacuum cleaner to activate the complete print head (works best and fast for me). And I'm happy these cartridge is not OEM, so I got always a low ink-counter, but it never get's to 0%

Now my problem: The color cartridge gave me an error message because it's empty now and I really want to know what does the trick to make this cartridge the same behaviour as the black one. Last time I did a search I didn't find any working explanation on the internet what pin I should hide from the printer. Any knowledge here, guys?

EDIT: Sorry, I missed that you were asking about resetting, not refilling. The instructions I link don't seem to mention resetting HP carts.

123refills.net has instructions for many cartridges. I haven't tried following them myself.

As far as I can tell the US version of this printer uses the HP 60 cartridge, which you'll find on page 33.

use syringes to fill the cartridges with ink and use priming kit to remove air bubbles from print head and ( activate ) it. don't use vacuum cleaner
