I got the Marrutt calibration print by mail just now - I'm pretty much disappointed - it is an inkjet print - A4 size - on a semiglossy/silk type paper - so far so good , but all typical inkjet issues are visible - bronzing in lighter magenta and cyan areas - gloss differences between printed and unprinted areas - darker gray areas get a silver reflection - most of that would be gone with a GO overprint, another choice of inks and paper.

The German fotocommunity made a similar offer seveal years ago - a controlled digital photo print of their test image - glossy - overall much better in quality.
But the principal benefit of such a print remains - a visible reference outside your own printer/display driver/profile/calibration settings as a reference helping to get the printer and the display to a color match. All other related issues - different color spaces - profiling - etc has been discussed in detail already elsewhere.

I'll give this Marrutt print a good gloos optimizer overprint now.......
