any opinions on the snap in replacement filters for the Lexmarks, I'm thinking on trying them but want to hear what ppl think of them before I order. They are here http://www.pginkjets.com/equip6.htm

Or should I spend $1500 - $2000 on a Filter WelderFilter

I have used the snap in filters from R Jet Tek and they work fine, if your have really cleaned out all the gunk below the original screen.

Why spend $1500 for a thermal screen removal and insertion tool. A large, round tip soldering iron and long forcepts will remove the screen. I made a counter bore piece of aluminum to place over the hot tip and hold the new screen in place. These work fine. Most of the expensive tools out their, that claim to be patent protected, ar OK. Issue is that they copied my design from 1996 when I first used it and showed it to the Recyclers Area meeting. How can anyone get a patent on a concept, which I felt was not a unique advancement of the art (rule one for a patent), and when their is public disclosure of prior art.
