I wonder if this item will allow an ink absorber reset?: System Configuration Menu:- hardware failure status: Anzeige von Fehlern mit der Mglichkeit, den fehler zu lschen. Or in English:"Display errors with the option to delete the error."

Not got an 8500 so can't test the theory.

Might try to see if any of the ideas could work with an L7780 as I have a borked unit.
