You should. Because you'll find in them quite all the solutions for repairing the new printers. The way an actual printhead is done is similar to an old one. Nothing new.
Just a question if you don't mind, do you think the EEPROM has a different use today than it did in the i965 service manual for example?
If you want to do something different you must first have integrated all the previous technologies.
