We're having a hard time finding a desktop printer and I'm fishing for recommendations. The goal is to have a machine dedicated to Avery labels that are 4" x 6". Every solution we've tried has been flawed.
The traits we're looking for are:
- Inkjet (because we've found thermal printers melt adhesive)
- Ethernet port (because it'll need a static IP to function on our network)
- Straight tray (because when documents "bend around" in the feed path it increases the likelihood of problems)
The HP 1510 was correct mechanically, but trying to manage it on a network grew cumbersome. The HP Officejet 8610 works well as a network device, but is choking on the 4 x 6 labels.
