Hello!
I'm new to this forum and I have an odd problem with my Epson ET-2750.
I would like to use the ET-2750 to scan some old slides, so I tried to find a transparency unit.
However, since the ET-2750 is discontinued, it would seem so is the transparency unit.
So I have purchased a LED Light Pad, for the backlight illumination.
I then placed some slides on the screen with the light pad on top, the scan was washed out.
I then tried different pieces of paper and card to reduce the intensivity of the backlight.
I found a sheet of 200gsm card seemed to work quite well, colours needed a bit of saturation and the lighting adjusting.
The scans were slightly dark but useable, so I thought i9t's sorted.
I then changed the slides from the Kodachrome one's to some Fujichrome ones.
Now all the scans come out in monochrome, I then tried some Boots Slides and the same thing happened.
All scans are monochrome, i tired different intensities of backlight but still all monochrome.
If I place the slides on the light pad then all the colours show up.
Any ideas would be helpful, thank you?

The scanner has a monochrome sensor and switched R, G, and B LED illumination to detect colors. You are only going to get monochrome scans with a separate light source.

It's odd that the Kodachrome slides scanned in colour.
