Update. Ordered a Pro 310 on-line as well as ink/cleaning kits from Octoink.
Meanwhile left Pro 10 to sit turned off for a day. Then, rather than skip visit ...
Returned to the old print head. It now works (!!) as expected after two cleaning cycles to get all head jets working. Head check now fully working. Test sheet (from Service Tool) shows parameters are reset so all ok until the pads overflow !!

That’s a very good result, and probably the best kind of “printer miracle” — doing less for a while and letting the head/ink system settle before trying again. Two cleaning cycles to bring it back is not bad at all.

Keep an eye on those waste pads now that the service parameters are reset. If you’re going to keep the Pro-10 running alongside the Pro-310, it might be worth planning a waste ink solution before it becomes urgent. And yes, don’t skip the occasional print — these pigment machines really do prefer being used regularly.
