I have recently started refilling my mx860 carts generally without problems. I am using the German method. However, I have problems with the larger pigment cartridges cli220. Both have leaked. The black sides make it difficult to see what is going on, but I don't believe I have handled them differently than the regular 221 carts. I used the fill, wait, add more approach. The waiting allowed the pigment to clear at the top so I could see clear space. I don't believe that I added too much but ink would start to spill from the regular hole and the filling hole also I think). I used the syringe to suck off the extra dripping ink, but this eventually left a half empty cart.
