The printer needs service , message, came up. I am in the middle of printing a wedding, so I went on printing. Now the printer is frozen up, and I can't even get the carrage to move. This wouldn't be so bad, if I lived in the "big city", but I live 186 miles North of Albuquerque NM.

Without more details on what "frozen up" means I can't provide any definite answers but couple of things to try.

1. If the head is slamming around (as if unaware where the ends of the printer are) look at this:

2. Try downloading the SSC utility and seeing if resetting the waste counter helps.

(nb: you may need to uninstall the print manager to get it to work, and/or turn the printer on/off a few times.)

If the second option is the cause then you'll want to get the waste ink pads sorted ASAP! or even better complete the waste ink mod suggested here:

Hope that helps...
