r200 cartridge problems

I have an epson r200 which worked fine up until recently.
The printer wanted every cartridge replaced, so i replaced them all with new, but the printer still reads the new cartridges as needing changing.
Anyone had a similar problem or anyone have any ideas or solution?

you didn't tell us about the printer monitor is all color grayed or its normally working if its grayed check the connection between the cartridge chip and the head position
