When removing the carts from printers like the HP720c place a strip of thin plastic between the head contacts and those of the printers. There is a tendancy of the pins on the printer cutting in to those on the cart destroying the contact between them.

The plasti strip pushes the spring contacts out protecting the soft contacts on the carts. Using this method has enabled me to refill the same HP carts dozens of times. Who said you can only fill a few times. I have used over a litre of ink for each colour and each cart takes 20 millitres black takes 40.

quality is still as good. I will have to clean the inside case soon, probably stuffing some tissue down there to soak up the accumulated gunk. This printer has printed and then some.
