Hello all. I am currently using a Canon MP830 AIO to print an informational flier that I am placing on doors. Due to the humidity and me sweating (FLORIDA) the color print starts to run a tad. I contacted the ink supplier (Hobbycolors) and they informed me that Canon as well as many other mfgrs use DYE and that I need to look at a pigment ink. I don't want to spend a lot for this printer as it's main function is to print these fliers. I have checked with Staples and Office depot and their cheapest Epson printers got the worst reviews. I looked at a Brother DCP-165C (can't find anywhere if it uses PIGMENT ink) so will call them tomorrow am. Bottom line, what printer uses PIGMENT ink that I can refill the cartridges (preferably with no resetter but will take one that can be reset as a second choice); will handle 65# card stock and will do this with no problems. I really don't need an AIO or a printer with networking and all the other extras but if it comes with it and I have to buy it that way then so be it. Look forward to you responses and recommendations. Thanks..

For easy to refill, you have two choice is go for Epson or Canon. You have more choice on Epson printer if you want to look for one that use pigment ink. Just take a look on what's use ink type is" DURABrite" for low end or "UltraChrome K3" on higher end printer. Only one model Canon use pigment ink is pro9500 but you don't want it i guest.

If you pick on Epson, the easiest is buying refillable cart with auto reset chip on it then you are good to go.

Just make sure that the refillable cartridges have got good quality pigment ink, otherwise you will be back to square one.. :|
