Hi,
I am a small business and am looking for a printer and software that suits my needs.

I currently have pre printed ID cards that are laminated for events along with pre printed tickets. Both of these have blank spaces for event ID and the attendees name which are currently handwritten.

I am looking for a printer and software that will allow me to print the current hand written details onto it into the blank spaces currently left. Either by individual entry to print both at once or via a database\spreadsheet to allow group printing runs.

Any support or advice offered would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Dan

Just to clarify. The area you are printing is laminate free - Right?

Secondly caliper of sheet, size and number of items on each sheet you will be processing.

Hi,
Yes the area is laminate free, the tickets are glossy paper but bot laminate free.

The details are as follows:

Pass - 6cm by 9cm, 2 items to print, caliper is 250 I believe

Ticket - 17.5cms by 10cm, 3 items to print, unsure on the caliper but is similar to paper so ideally looking for anything up to 250.

The smallest size of paper that will pass through a printer safely is 9 cm x 12 cm on average sorry, but you’d be safe enough with a weight of 250 gm.

Your only option would be to print them two up together and split them afterwards, and on a glossy surface dye ink will work out ok.

So there are no printers able to print this size? as I thought you could buy printers that enabled you to print business cards which are significantly smaller?

There are specialised HP printers that can only print ID cards and nothing else.
Do a Google search for ID card printers..
