Neither... Try to get an MP610 or an iP4500. They're better quality prints, have larger cartridges and can be refilled, reset and use 3rd party consumables, unlike the unmentionables you asked about.

There's a few threads on here about the older models and how/where to get them but be quick about it.

Firstly these models are not in the US so I've not met any of them.

The mp630 has a higher resolution scanner over the mp620, the same as the mp610. How it works is the ultimate measure, which I haven't seen. It should be noted the mp610 is rated as being faster at least on their website.

Near as I'm aware they are all based on identical print engines, well except the mp610 which is based on the ip4500.

I don't know about any improvement in quality. They decreased the nozzle size in the ip4600/mp620/mp630, shunk the size of the cartridges with no improvement in yield. They claim higher contrast black, and superior life in n album, but those tests were done on newer paper, the 201 series.

The main reason to consider the mp620/630 IMHO is the fact they have network and WIFI onboard, and they are not ultra spendy models. In fact in the states you can sometimes find the mp620 equal to or less than the price of the ip4600.

Follow Websnail's advice, and get an ip4500, an excellent all-purpose printer. And, as a bonus, it is faster and quieter than the newer models, as well as being less expensive to run.

Thank you for your replies, i just ordered ip4500.
