I much prefer the full image compared to the first posted cropped image.

The full image appears sharper, with better overall context showing the bird in flight, and in my opinion is a better composition. Also showcases the photographer`s skill. BIF pics are not easy.

One of the best we have seen to POW entries. Again just my not so modest opinion!

Agreed an excellent lens. However the 7D11's beefed up image tracking and improved autofocus also deserves some credit, as does the photographer's skill. The bird's eye is razor sharp.
