The rear sensor was a first suspect. But the suspicion was not confirmed. Finally I found an error in the optical sensor in the print head carriage. In the meantime, however, two printheads dried up and three colors passed (I am using 120ml HP70). As I use it only for home printing (few prints per week), I'm not sure whether I am willing to invest more money in the printer, which has been problematic right from the start :) For now it sits beside me waiting for the last opportunity sometimes in the future :)

P.S. Get the 100 Ohm resistance mentioned in my first link (if you dont have any at home). You'll need it in case of broken sensor.

I do not know about the other printers, but, for printing photos I would not include any Maxify. I have one, love it, with serviceable image quality and sharp text using pigment inks, but it is not designed for quality image printing.
