Printer Model
Epson P5000 and Epson P800
First time posting to this forum. This is a question for the forum’s hive mind. Last month I bought an Epson P5000 printer with clogged nozzles off Craigslist for $125 (The seller was an artist who had bought it for a failed project and then didn’t use it for 2+ years.) I assumed that getting it up and running was risky, but the price was right.

Long story short – after multiple head cleaning cycles (including deep cleaning) and soaking the head in Piezoflush several times I had all the nozzles printing except for the yellow ones. I then escalated – flushed out the yellow channel, replaced its ink with Piezoflush, then tried multiple cleaning cycles. No luck – not even one yellow nozzle will print.

I’m ready to move to more invasive/risky steps but too cheap to buy a new printer head. Do I have any good options? Is there a way to directly flush the yellow channels of the printer head? Could the problem be somewhere between the ink cartridge and the printer head (e.g., the damper)?

Suggestions / Strategies would be most welcome.

Thanks
