I have a 1430 which I got a few months ago, very low mileage. Perfect nozzle checks.

A small blot is starting to appear, see photo. I make two notecards on a sheet of 8.5x11 paper, the photo shows half that size for one notecard. The paper moves from left to right, the left edge being the last paper to receive ink, and that's where the blot appears.

Inside, I noticed a generous load of fresh ink on the rim surrounding the foam pad and wiped it off with a QTip. The wiper blade showed a small amount ink, but it was dry and thin. I normally use Piezoflush on the QTip but it was not handy and I just wanted a quick check. Ran through another print, a fresh one, and result was no blot.

My question is, where does this blot come from? I plan to do a more through cleaning, cleaning off the printer head, etc. I do have a Printer Potty installed... but that was some time ago and I empty the ink overflow container when needed. Do I have a leaky cartridge?
