I have a Canon PIXMA Pro9500 and the wheel/cog that the front tray uses to slowly open appears to be jammed with something- I cant get at it and was wondering how to open the side panel to get at it.

i have the printer 2 years so figure it may cost more to send it off for repair than its worth- I reckon is I could just get at the wheel i could free up the jam- but cant seem to find a way to remove the side panel.

Any ideas?

Please forgive my photo skills :)

Usually they open the same on the ip4x line, which is very similar to this, this looks like it has some ip4300 in it's blood :)
I'm not expecting this to have the dummy panels unlike the newer generation printers.

I will attest to never opening this model, but I'm guessing it's the slots on the underside getting you. Do you have slots on sides and rear for a screwdriver to go in?

Great, thanks for the reply - I'll give this a shot (I really should have checked the underside)

Thanks again
