BTW everyone from the beginning of LCD screens said that:
1.They do not flicker
2.They are better for you eyes
3.They use less electricity
Now the truth becomes when you do your own research that these are false claims:
1.They do not flicker
Yes they DO. In normal LCD they use CCFL tubes (fluorescent lighting tubes), they are widely used in supermarkets and big stores because they offer "cheap light" and they do flicker. No optician could argue that using fluorescent lighting is healthier in your home than incandescent or Halogen.
2.They are better for you eyes
As you know LCD uses CCFL tubes. Now there is plenty of research that the flicker from fluorescent lighting is NOT healthy.
You can also do a test: ask any friend who works in a supermarket how their eyes feel after they day.
3.They use less electricity
New NEC 19" or 20" gaming monitors use 2 thirds of a typical CRT 19" now that’s not a lot of economy if you weight the shortcomings in health, delay, flicker, color rendition areas.
And this topic is about new LCD technology called LED LCD.
Is seems some guru decided that to make you batteries run longer they can trash your eye heath.
