> Still, I am going to check out the aluminum tape
In several older posts, I've noticed references to "aluminum tape" for covering up GRM or other holes. I'm unclear what that is. Wouldn't be electrical tape, and my speculation is that it isn't duct tape? If not, then what?

I believe it is used in the heating/cooling/air.con. Industry I have seen rolls of it at the Local B & Q in the plumbing dept. It is a lot more expensive than electrical tape but is very strong and retains its stickiness when wet so yes it could be called duct tape

Search "aluminum tape" and select "Posts" under the "Show results as" menu. Brand names and even a link result. You can then search for further specifics at an online retailer or the manufacturer itself. The world may be your oyster but Google fishes the hell out of it.

Thanks for the gently delivered hint that I should put more effort into Googling before posting a question. Noted.

I consider myself decent but not advanced with Google, but I'm not aware of options to 'select "Posts" and how to "Show results as". Are those Nifty bulletin board options? A Goggle add-on? Google in Advanced mode? Or careless and less-than-attentive on my part?

I use IE8-Win7 with the abbreviated Google toolbar, and don't see those choices. I can see how they would be handy.

Thanks ... I checked my spam/rejected folder and there they were. Probably didn't help to have ED in the "from" contact, and really, your login name is going to be suspicious to a lot of spam filters.

Yes, these are part of the options available in the Nifty-Stuff search function. It is found in the last section of the search page parameters under the section entitled "Select how to view search results".

Duh ... I see those options now. Didn't look hard enough. I'm not clear how that would have improved my search for "aluminum tape", however. That option does seem to get you directly to the post of interest, rather than just to the thread and then you have to search through it.

Again, thanks for your patient assistance to the newbie who is frantically trying to get up to speed.

I speculate that my experience may be somewhat atypical compared to many/most of the participants here. I had never had or used an inkjet printer prior to getting the Pro-9000-2. I had barely used it, and never purchased replacement ink cartridges until very recently. I think most forum participants have done a fair amount of printing, and got into refilling due to being sick of the high cost of ink from OEM or refill shops.

Another difference might be that many use inkjets for printing text. My use of the Pro-9000-2 is strictly for photos, as we have a LaserJet for prints involving b/w text.

You answered your own question.

Since some threads can have many pages, using "Posts" collates results as individual posts containing the search terms, thereby allowing you to efficiently click on individual posts instead of searching entire threads for the search terms in individual posts contained within. Each parameter has its own utility.

Try the two types of search parameters to further understand the difference.
