- Canon Pixma Pro 9500MkII
Hello everybody. I´m Carlos Suarez from Barcelona.
Being a retired comercial photographer, about a year ago, I´ve bought a second hand Canon 9500 MkII printer.
I´ve started to take photos for fun ( at last ), and wanted to recreate the feeling of looking at my pictures on paper,
like in the analogic times.
I was having a lot of problems setting up the printer ( because the driver not working with modern MacOs )
At last I´ve bought a cheap 21" Imac that I use only for printing.
I use only matte or rag paper ( Ilford 235 gm A3+ ) with pleasent results.
I refill with the Octopus Ink kit and despite having very good results, I´m concerned about the image fading effect.
So here are my first enquiries:
Do you have any opinion or experience with that brand of inks ( Octopus from Germany )?
Is it possible to get the original Lucia Ink from Canon in refill bottles ?
Is there any better alternative to Octopus ( in terms of fading )
Thanks in advance.
