I've been around a little bit, but only created an account about a week ago during a staycation over Thanksgiving.
I used to do some pre-press intern work in the QuarkXPress days, mostly reconstructing magazines locally for local printing while I was in art school in Flint, Michigan. Since then,. I've done some photography, some printing, entered a few photography competitions, and generally nerded out to anything son et lumiere.
A few years ago, we bought an Epson ET-8550 because I wanted to print tabloid sized paper for some personal and consulting projects. Since that time, I've been lurking the forums while learning how far out of its league the ET-8550 performs.
Most recently, I've gotten into ArgyleCMS after retuning my color managed workflow using DisplayCAL. I tried to use the ET-8550's scanner to profile paper with a great deal of disappointment, but I'm not yet to the type of demand to purchase a decent spectro.
Merry Christmas!
