I'm getting ready to print some promo materials for my business-- I will be running about 200 sheets
I'm using a Canon MG6120 printer with oem cartridges (plan on refilling these with image specialists ink) connected to an iMac
I have been playing with Standard vs High quality settings as well as different paper presets (ie Glossy II, Glossy, Photo Matte, etc), and some color profiles. I'm testing with HP everyday photo paper (100 sheets for $15 at T@rget)
The promo materials are mainly computer graphics with text and covered partly with heavy black background
My question is, what do you guys think would be the best paper stock for this type of printing? Also, among the different default profiles, are there any in particular I should avoid or any I should start with? These sheets will be handouts to potential purchasers--
Is there any particular paper brand that should be avoided with Canon ink?
I burned through most of the gray ink in about 10 sheets when printing on the highest quality photo setting and glossy II paper....
I'm hoping this will be an economical alternative to traditional printing in the long run (obviously not over the first 200 sheets)
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to chime in
