Need help refilling Dell 948 AIO black & color cartrididges

My wife bought us a new printer an all-in-one Dell 948 for $129. I thought thats a good price....UNTIL I purchased the replacement cartridges $71 for 2 of them. I used to refill my Canon and I need help/instructions on how to fill these carts.

Most Dell cartridges are manufactured under license by Lexmark. Peeling off the upper label will show you the refill holes and/or the places you will need to drill a small hole for refilling.

Problem is, some models will not let you tell your printer that you have just installed a "new" cartridge. I'm not sure about your particular model.
Check your driver and see if you can tell your printer that you have just installed a new cartridge. If you cannot reset the levels, then start saving your old cartridges. Most lexmark carts will remember the last 2 cartridges. You have to put in an empty, wait for an error message, then repeat with another empty cart. After that, if you install your newly refilled cartridge, the level will show as full.
