I bought a bunch of 220/221 cartridges to act as 225/226s for my MG6120, and put the 225/226 chips into them and that's worked rather well for me so far. However, I seem be missing one CLI-226BK cartridge and one PGI-255PGBK cartridge. I don't care about the cartridges, but I'm going the need the chips. If they don't turn up before I need them, do I have any alternatives more affordable than just buying a whole new set???!!!
I have some 220/221 chips, that I don't need, to swap, if that'll help.

I think the best source for the missing chips are empty CLI-226 and PGI-225 cartridges. I would recommend using Canon OEM chips instead of buying a set of ARC chips. With ARC chips you risk a false full indication, which I think is a very bad thing. So I would try looking for empty cartridges to obtain the missing chips.
