Hi all.
I have an Epson RX585 all in one printer scanner
With a CISS connected to it for nearly 18 mths.
I also have an Octinkjet External Waste ink kit fitted.
Yesterday my SERVICE REQUIRED message appears on screen and I realise that
the Waste Ink counter has reached its limit.
I managed to pront 5 sheets before it would no longer allow me to use the printer.
SOLOUTION...
I downloaded a file from (http://***.octoink.co.uk/)
goto the QUICK FIND TOOL @ (http://***.octoink.co.uk/_docs/wik_intro.php?id=3)
enter your printer model and download the file.
NOTE : the file may not exactly be for your model BUT it WILL WORK !!!
Follow the insrtuctions in the text file exactly and it will reset your counters.
It isnt the simplest software but follow the instructions and you WILL SUCCEED !!!
The DOES NOT work on windows 7 or vista.. you need Windows XP
I took my printer to next doors pc and installed it on his XP just to resset the counters.
My Printer works perfectly now.
Just wanted to share this experience with you all here...
There is ALWAYS a way...
