can I mix imagespecialists and inktec ink? cause I've found a cheaper dealer on my location and I want to chance. my question is if I can fill the cartridges with another brand of ink without empting them.

I wouldn't...

Or to put it another way...

Would you mix nitroglycerin with jelly and then shake it vigorously? ;)

They're different chemicals so they may well react and they may well cause clogging or similar... Best not to..

well... I just remembered that I refilled original HP 88 cartridges with inktec ink without these being empty and I had no problem... why would the chemicals react? it's just ink.
But I guess it's better to play safe.

Bzzzztt... Try again :)

If ink was just ink then there would be no need for Claria, Pigment, Durabrite, K4 or even brand names between printer manufacturers.. In fact you'd just be able to shove any old ink in your pen and it would just work..

Remind me never to leave Nitro and Jelly lying around for you to play with ;)

One out of two points ;)

I am with websnail on this one.:)

Purge your cartridges then fill them again with your new ink to be sure.
You can mix OEM inks + third party ink together most of the time its ok, but mixing third party inks + third party inks is a recipe for Hair lose and *@*#* .... :(
