When you want to print a document or Photo on the Windows O/S you first choose the printer you wish to use and then you have the choice of up to 4 different print selection tabs to browse through and change before you commit yourself to print, like the Media Type, Print Quality, Page Size, Orientation and Vivid Special Photo Effects.

However you can simply just click OK to print without changing a thing and the printer will revert back to the default print setting ! :celebrate

When you want to print on the MAC O/S you can also choose the printer of your choice, but it’s a totally different scenario to what your use to in Windows ! Because you’re using the MAC print driver and not the various different and familiar Canon drivers !

Just like the Windows Default printer you can also choose to use any printer that supports the paper size you’re using (Default) and just click print, there is also an additional ability to make a PDF of your Image before you print.

The first pop-up you get is the printer choice and by using the drop down arrows (On the right) all of the other familiar print setting can be found here, like Copies & Pages, Paper Handling, Quality & Media, Colour Options, and Special Effects.

While every printer has its own different print setting on the Windows O/S, not so with the MAC O/S they haven’t changed their print driver in years so it takes a bit of getting used to, but the beauty of it is you only have to learn how to used it the once.

A lot of problems are faced by many when they try to use a custom paper size and their output does not match their expectations (Disaster) so that’s about the only area you have to be careful with before committing to print, it’s important to name your customs size first, even if it’s only to call it Untitled 1.

I don't touch Mac's but enjoyed reading your gospel so I gave you a Like. :hugs

As a PC owner, it is nice to hear about Mac owners having trouble operating the easiest system ever devised. :D
