Good Morning Everyone.
I am looking for a new art printer.
Its important to me that i get one that will last. One that I can expect to have for 5-10 years. I recently bought a Canon Pro-300 and in less than 2 years it is down and out and Canon Support basically told me, "Your out of luck, buy a new one."

So if I get a new one, I want it to last.
I was looking at the Canon Pro-1000. It seems like its long lasting for people who take care of it. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and i would love to know how long you have owned your printer without issues. Also please chime in if you own the pro-1000 and how you like or dislike it, along with how long it has been running.
Things I am looking for.
-Longevity
-High Details
-True Colors
-Archival
-Cost $1800 max.
-Ease (or at least semi ease) to fix or replace parts

Thank you!
Laura

I am looking for a new art printer.
Sorry, but I don’t have an pro 1000 printer, nor have any of my Canon printers ever let me down in such a short space of time, so I would love to know what happened to your Pro 300, if you care to explain, because I’m all ears. :pop

Printers get damaged from not printing, and this is because inks are expensive.
